    I have the blue angels f-18 with the 1700kv motor in it, this is the motor that came out of my f-4 phantom. Can I put this in my f-18?

    I have a 120A esc. I've seen the documentation on this motor say it draws 105 amps but reccommends a 130A esc. Will a 120A esc be enough or will I need to upgrade to use this motor?

    Hello Mike, The ESC you have will be alright as long as the motor does not draw more than 120A. If the maximum current draw is 105A it will be fine. However, is 105A the maximum current draw or does the motor draw more on a burst? That could be why a 130A is recommended.

    Will this inrunner motor fit into my 90mm F22 that has a 90mm outrunner motor in it at the moment and will the esc that is in my outrunner model still be OK

    Hi, yes, this unit will drop into your F22 90mm without any additional upgrades or modification if you're still using the stock 130Amp ESC.

    Awesome 6S upgrade for any 90mm EDF

Airplane ready to fly weight was 3kg...read moreRan this on my test stand and it's balanced and extremely smooth. One of my airplanes was so underpowered with the stock fan. Airplane ready to fly weight was 3kg (6.6 lbs) and found that the stock fan was only putting out 3kg (6.6 lbs) of thrust. Grass takeoffs were very hairy. Swapped out the stock ESC with a 130A ESC and the stock fan with the Freewing 90mm 3672-1900kv fan. The new ESC and fan added about 200g (7 ounces) but gave it big increase in thrust to around 4kg (8,8 lbs) of thrust. The airplane no longer has any problems with grass takeoffs, and it sounds awesome. Very realistic sound. The Freewing 90mm fan gave me the performance without having to upgrade to 8S or 12S.
